ID Theft & Fraud Prevention

Protecting yourself from unsolicited calls and emails.

Never provide your personal or financial information to unsolicited emails or callers. Also, be wary of callers claiming you have won a prize or vacation package from a contest you did not enter; or a call or email stating you are in trouble with law enforcement, the IRS, or Social Security Administration; or if anyone ever asks you to pay a “fine” using gift cards. If you receive a call like those described, we urge you to hang up immediately.

If you are unsure if a request is legitimate, especially from someone claiming to be from Innovations, hang up and contact us directly at 850.233.4400. Even if the solicitation is not from us, we often know about scams that are targeting our members.

Protect yourself with Innovations’ Online and Mobile Banking.

As a valued member of Innovations, we’re dedicated to making your financial life easier and safer. A couple of ways we achieve this is with Online Banking and Mobile Banking. When you use these convenient services, they help protect you from identity theft and fraud in several ways.

Our Alert feature is also a great tool for ID Theft & Fraud Protection. Alerts can be sent to your email or mobile phone to notify you when:

  • Changes are made to your contact information
  • Changes are made to your login credentials
  • Your balance is above or below a designated dollar amount
  • Any transaction is above a designated amount
  • Balance summaries are available. These can be sent daily, weekly, monthly, or annually
  • A message is sent to your Online Banking inbox

Innovations’ Mobile Banking App also has a feature called Card Controls that allows you to instantly turn your Innovations’ debit and/or credit cards on or off in the event that your cards are stolen, lost, or otherwise compromised.

Plus, when you open an Ignite Rewards Checking Account, you can sign up at no charge for ID Protect® coverage to provide continuous identity and credit monitoring, as well as other credit, fraud and recovery resources.

Online & Mobile Banking – Verification and Login Security Features

One Time Pin (OTP) Code – An OTP Code will be generated for a login on a new or unfamiliar device.

** If the browsing history is cleared or you are viewing your account using Online Banking through a private browser, you will be prompted for an One Time Pin Code.

Challenge Questions – You have the option to require a challenge question each time you login to your account through Online Banking.

** If the browsing history is cleared or you are viewing your account using Online Banking through a private browser, you will be prompted for a One Time Pin Code.

Security image and phrase – A security image and phrase, selected during enrollment, will be displayed when signing into Online Banking through an internet browser.

Automatic log-off – You may select a timeframe to automatically end your Online Banking session after a period of inactivity. 5-10 minutes is recommended to protect your sensitive account information.

Face ID and Fingerprint Authentication – Enable Face ID or Fingerprint authentication through the Innovations Mobile Banking app.
